Fort Indiantown Gap was selected as the site for the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center in part due to the wide variety of facilities available. Fort Indiantown Gap is able to provide students comfortable lodging, state-of-the-art classrooms, distance learning and video teleconferencing facilities, ranges, an urban training site, tactical entry training facilities, an indoor engagement skills trainer, dining facilities, fitness center, swimming pool and other recreational facilities.

The newly constructed Military Education Center at Fort Indiantown Gap provides computer aided classrooms to facilitate anything from a squad-sized class to a 1,200-person ceremony. The center also houses the distance learning and video teleconferencing classrooms.
Fort Indiantown Gap has newly renovated ranges for training on small-arms, automatic, semi-automatic and long-range firing weapons.

The indoor engagement skills trainer provides students with interactive video scenarios that provide instant feedback without the costly expenditure of ammunition. The RAID house trainer is equipped with the Professional Range Instruction Simulator (PRISim) for law enforcement.

The urban training site consists of a number of open-faced building configurations so instructors and students can observe entry and clearing techniques from outside. This facility is ideal for initial entry training and for students with limited experience.

Our Multipurpose High-Risk Entry Facility provides residential, apartment and office scenarios with indoor and outdoor entries and stairwells. Each scenario is equipped for various configuration options that provide for additional training situations. The facility is completely wired for light and sound and video recording so training can be reviewed and critiqued.

Fort Indiantown Gap has a fitness center and training facilities that are used by the All-Army sports teams for training. The fitness center includes a basketball court, Nautilus and free-weight equipment, racquetball and volleyball courts, aerobics rooms, cardiovascular equipment and sauna.

Other facilities on post include an Olympic-sized swimming pool, jogging tracks, baseball and softball fields, and outdoor basketball, tennis and volleyball courts. Students of the Northeast Counterdrug Training Center have access to all of these facilities as well as the Post Exchange and Community Club.
Fort Indiantown Gap also has its own flight facility that allows for access by helicopter and smaller private aircraft.
These facilities should provide students with an optimal environment to meet their training needs.
